Collier County Schools

Collier County Public Schools serve every neighborhood on this site, and school assignment is one of the first questions buyers with children ask. It is also one of the most commonly answered incorrectly because assignment runs by parcel rather than by neighborhood, and a neighborhood name is not a school zone.

Below is the assigned elementary, middle, and high school for all 42 Naples-area neighborhoods we cover, taken from the district attendance zone locator and verified in September 2026. Underneath it are the things the table does not tell you.

What the Table Does Not Tell You

Schools do not separate the coastal neighborhoods

Six neighborhoods draw exactly the same three schools. Old Naples, Port Royal, Aqualane Shores, Coquina Sands, The Moorings and Gordon Drive all feed Lake Park Elementary, Gulfview Middle and Naples High. If you are weighing those against each other, zoning is not the deciding factor — dock access, walkability and price are.

Park Shore is where the first boundary falls

Park Shore switches to Sea Gate Elementary while keeping Gulfview Middle and Naples High, so the elementary line runs between it and The Moorings immediately south. Carry on north into Pelican Bay and the middle and high change too, to Pine Ridge Middle and Barron Collier High. That is the more consequential boundary on the coast.

Similar names are not a guide

Pelican Bay and Pelican Marsh share a high school and nothing else. Pelican Bay draws Sea Gate and Pine Ridge; Pelican Marsh draws Pelican Marsh Elementary and North Naples Middle. Pelican Marsh Elementary sits on Airport Road North beside the community it is named for, which is not true of most schools carrying a neighborhood name.

Marco Island runs differently

Marco Island is the exception in the county. Its zoned middle school is a charter, Marco Island Charter Middle School, rather than a district school, and its zoned high school is on the mainland at Lely. Marco Island Academy, a charter high school on the island, is the alternative to that drive.

Two neighborhoods are not in Collier County at all

Barefoot Beach and Bonita Bay sit in Lee County and are served by Lee County Schools through Bonita Springs Elementary, Middle and High. A buyer searching Collier County school zones for either will find nothing, because they are not in the district.

How Collier County Assigns Schools

Assignment is by street address, not by subdivision, city or ZIP code. Two houses on the same street can fall in different zones, and the district redraws boundaries as enrollment shifts and new schools open. Aubrey Rogers High, which appears in the table for several North Naples communities, is recent enough to have changed the zoning around it.

The district publishes its own caution alongside the locator: the maps provide general information, accuracy is not guaranteed, and a result should not be taken as a guarantee of placement. Read that literally. If school assignment is material to a purchase, verify the specific parcel before you write an offer rather than after.

Look up any address on the CCPS attendance zone locator, or call the Department of Student Assignment on (239) 377-0540. The district site is collierschools.com.

Parental Choice and Out-of-Zone Applications

The zoned school is the default, not the only option. Collier County runs a Parental Choice program with two routes. Out-of-Zone is for parents with a documented need or hardship as set out in Board Policy 5120. School Choice lets a parent request a different school without giving a reason, and goes to a lottery for whatever space is left after Out-of-Zone applications are settled.

Three things buyers should know. Applications must be received by June 30, and there is an earlier priority window each winter — for 2026-27 it ran from 14 January to 22 February 2026. Approvals are subject to capacity and class-size limits, so a place is never guaranteed. And the district does not provide transportation to a school outside your zone, which is a daily cost worth pricing before you rely on a choice placement.

If you are considering a purchase on the basis of an out-of-zone placement, treat that placement as a hope rather than a plan until it is approved in writing.

Private Schools in Naples

Naples has a substantial private school sector, and for many buyers it changes the calculation entirely. The main private and faith-based options across the area include Community School of Naples, The Village School of Naples, Seacrest Country Day School, St. Ann Catholic School, First Baptist Academy, Royal Palm Academy and, on Marco Island, Island Christian Academy.

Each neighborhood page on this site lists the two nearest private schools with approximate distances alongside the zoned public schools, so you can see both at once for the area you are considering.
