Short version: Naples has two seasons, not four, and they are not summer and winter. The dry season runs November to April — warm, low humidity, almost no rain. The wet season runs May to October — hot, humid, with a thunderstorm most afternoons that clears within the hour.

Two things stand out. Naples reaches 70°F on 349 days a year — essentially always. And January and December never reach 90°F, while July and August do on almost every day.
The dry season: November to April
This is why people come, and why the town roughly doubles in population between January and March.
Daytime highs sit in the mid-70s to low-80s, humidity drops away, and it rains on three or four days a month. November is the driest month of the year at 1.3 inches. Evenings are cool enough for a jacket — January nights average 52°F and can drop into the 40s during a cold front.
What it means practically: this is peak season for everything. Restaurants need reservations, beach parking fills by mid-morning, and the property market runs hardest. If you are house-hunting you will see Naples at its busiest and its best — and pay a seasonal premium for the privilege.
The wet season: May to October
Hot and humid, with highs around 90°F and lows that stay in the low 70s overnight. Humidity runs 77–80%.
The rain is not what northerners imagine. It arrives as a heavy afternoon thunderstorm, often between 2pm and 5pm, and it is usually over within an hour. Mornings are frequently clear. You plan around it rather than losing the day to it.
June through September each see 14 to 16 rainy days — but that means rain occurs on those days, not that it rains all day.
What it means practically: fewer people, lower prices, warm Gulf water, and the best shelling after a storm. If you can tolerate the humidity, the value is real.
Hurricane season
Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, with peak risk from mid-August through September.
Most seasons pass without a direct impact on Naples. Some do not — Hurricane Ian came ashore in September 2022 and destroyed the Naples Pier, which is still being rebuilt.
If you are buying rather than visiting, this matters more than any temperature chart. Ask about elevation and flood zone, impact windows and shutters, roof age and wind mitigation, and for anything on the water, seawall condition — a real due-diligence item in canal-front neighborhoods like Royal Harbor and Aqualane Shores. Depends what you are optimising for.
For weather alone: March. Warm days averaging 79°F, 21 days above 80°F, four rainy days, and the humidity has not arrived yet.
For value: October or May. Shoulder months. Warm water, thin crowds, materially lower prices, and the worst of the wet season either just ending or not yet begun.
For the quietest beaches: September. Hot and humid with real hurricane risk, but you will have the sand largely to yourself.
For house-hunting: November or April. Either end of peak season — enough inventory and activity to see the market properly, without the January-to-March crush.
